Edmonton, AB. September 20th, 2010 – Stefan Rzadzinski competed in Rounds 11 and 12 of the Ontario Formula Ford Championship in a battle for the 2010 series championship. The penultimate weekend of the series commenced at the high speed Mosport International Raceway.

On Saturday morning Rzadzinski qualified the car in 3rd position with a positive outlook on the weekend. In an exciting race he struggled with the car handling slightly but held his podium position through a fierce battle with teammate Ayrton Triolo.

After making a few adjustments Rzadzinski was looking forward to another strong day Sunday on track in the competitive Ontario Formula Ford Championship. Following a close qualifying session, Rzadzinski once again lined up 3rd on the grid for the final race of the weekend.

As the race ensued, Rzadzinski fell to 4th position as the top group of four drivers drove away from the rest of the field. In a heated battle up front with drivers coming across the line in a pack lap after lap, Rzadzinski attempted to make up positions and get to the front of the group. Unfortunately, Rzadzinski finished the race in 4th position, missing out on a podium position for Sunday’s event. To show the competitiveness of the series, all four drivers at the front of the pack finished within 1 second after 15 laps on the demanding circuit.

“It was a frustrating weekend for me not being able to challenge for the win on either occasions. On Saturday the car was a handful and it was great to still be on the podium in The ABL Group/SuperTint supported BGR/Team Grote car. On Sunday the team made some great adjustments and I really felt like we could challenge for the victory. Unfortunately, I just didn’t manage to get to the front of the extremely close pack up front at the end of the day. It’s something to learn from and I will be out stronger for the final weekend of the 2010 season. It will be a shootout for the championship!” stated Rzadzinski following the weekend's results.
