race weekend 4: Toronto Indy

On July 13-15 we hit the streets of downtown Toronto during the Honda Indy race weekend. The bumpy street circuit is one of the most daunting and challenging on the entire schedule.

It was our first street circuit of the schedule, so it was a big learning experience on the driving and setup side for our Downtown Porsche/Speedstar Motorsport team.

We qualified in 7th and 6th positions for the races on Saturday and Sunday. It's much farther back than we were hoping for - but we were making solid progress each time on track.

Saturday's race went really well. We moved up from 7th to 3rd position and won the Yokohama Hard Charger award.

Sunday's race was another good fight. Due to another car's issues, I started in 5th and came home in 4th position after a long and very hot race inside the car.

Overall, it was our best points weekend on the schedule and we're in a much stronger position heading into the Grand Prix Trois-Rivieres.
